Originally from London, England I began my career as an English language teacher and moved my way up to Director in one of the most famous and recognizable English Language schools in Mexico. Subsequently one of the most renowned and prestigious language centers worldwide offered me a position as a branch Director in one of the most important town in Mexico. I coordinated one of the largest campuses for the biggest private university in Mexico and am currently piloting and running programs for the largest group of private universities in the world. My focus and interest have always been on student centered, conversational ESL methods. Increasing student confidence, fluency and use of English in their day to day lives through well planned and executed personalized activities, focused on students’ needs.

Mr. Christopher Johnson

Christopher P. Johnson, Ed.D., Manager of Online Programs for Laureate Languages, has taught, coordinated, and directed university EFL programs in Chile since 1999.  He is keen to explore solutions to the challenge of teaching and learning EFL in blended and online formats. In an effort to understand these difficulties, Chris completed online doctoral studies at Walden University in 2014.  His dissertation focuses on Increasing Students’ Academic Involvement in Blended and Online EFL Courses. He also holds two Bachelors’ degrees (Interdisciplinary Studies, and TEFL) as well as a Masters’ degree in Theology.  He continues to study and present his findings

My name is Karina Febres, I’m from Lima, Peru. I have worked as an English and Spanish teacher for more than 20 years in different institutions in Peru and abroad.  I have a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a foreign language and applied linguistics from the Universidad Europea del Atlántico in Spain. I currently work as an online English tutor and Assistant Manager at Laureate Languages Online. I teach fully online language courses (English and Spanish), and I have developed two action research projects, both regarding online language learning, my main research area.

Jaime holds a Bachelor Degree in Education , a TESOL Certificate from Saint Mary´s University, England, a Skills and Principles in Language Teacher Training Workshop Design, Observation and Feedback Certificate from Centro Espiral Mana, Costa Rica and an American Culture and Society Institute Certificate from New York University, USA. He has given workshops and plenaries in Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, and Spain. He works at the Language Center of Universidad de Piura as the Teacher Trainer Unit Coordinator and Professor at the Education school. He´s also a Cambridge English Oral examiner.
